Our Story
Bourque & McLucas was founded on a simple conviction: business owners and families deserve advisors who think like they do — strategically, relationally, and with a long view.
The Firm
Most accounting firms are built around compliance. Bourque & McLucas was built around relationships. We started with the belief that the most valuable thing a CPA can offer isn't a tax return — it's judgment, perspective, and a trusted voice at the table when it matters most.
We serve business owners, entrepreneurs, and successful families across coastal Southern California. Our clients are building companies, managing wealth, planning transitions, and thinking about legacy. We're built to serve them at every stage of that journey.

What We Believe
We believe our abilities, relationships, and resources are entrusted to us — not owned by us. This shapes how we serve clients, lead our team, and make decisions.
We pursue technical mastery not as an end in itself, but because our clients deserve advisors who are genuinely excellent at what they do.
We build long-term relationships, not transactional ones. We want to know where you've been, what you're building, and what matters most to you.
We aim to give counsel that is wise, not just technically correct. Good advice considers the whole picture — business, family, legacy, and values.
Our Mindset
Because many of us are. We understand the weight of payroll, the complexity of a business sale, the tension between growth and cash flow, and the desire to build something that outlasts you. That perspective doesn't come from a textbook — it comes from experience. And it shapes every conversation we have with our clients.
Whether you're growing a business, planning a transition, or thinking about legacy — we'd love to have a conversation.
